CuteFTP Problems

We have discovered that some customers using CuteFTP are being temporaily banned from the server. After some investigating we have found the problem to be with the way CuteFTP uploads files.

For some reason while uploading CuteFTP continues to open new connections until it exceeds the limit. Once this limit is exceeded a temporary banned is placed on the connecting IP address. If this happens, you will be unable to access your website or email.

This normally lasts for around 15 minutes, after which time the ban is lifted. At present there is no resolution to this problem other than changing your FTP software.
